Rika was the "Queen of Digimon", completely dominating the last Hyper
Colleseum tournament and thus drawing the attention of actual Digimon
who wanted her as their partner. She picked Renamon, but it took
a while for her to realize that Digimon were real beings, and to stop
being such a bitch.
Rika has a love/hate relationship with fellow Tamer Ryo Akiyama. He's the only person to ever beat her at Hyper Colluseum. Name in Japanese version: Ruki Makino
